Lungoor Voice is an AI dictation app for Mac. You speak, and it types polished text directly into whichever app you are using — email, Slack, notes, or documents. It removes filler words, fixes grammar, adds punctuation, and formats the result without changing your meaning.

How is AI dictation different from regular dictation?

Regular dictation transcribes your words literally, including filler and false starts. AI dictation cleans the output: Lungoor removes filler, corrects grammar, adds punctuation, and structures the text into a message, email, or note — while preserving your original meaning.

What is the best AI dictation app for Mac?

Lungoor Voice supports more than 60 languages, including multilingual and mixed-language speech. You can speak Hindi, English, or Hinglish in the same sentence without carefully separating the languages.

How do I start dictating with Lungoor?

Press your configured shortcut and speak. Hold the key for quick dictation, or use start-and-stop mode for longer passages — activate once, speak naturally, then activate again when you are finished. You can change the shortcut under Settings then Shortcuts.

How long can I speak in one dictation?

There is no fixed dictation limit. Lungoor may show occasional reminders during longer recordings to confirm that dictation is still active. A reminder does not mean you have reached a recording limit.

Can I edit or rewrite text with my voice?

Yes. Select any text and use a Voice Command to rewrite it — make it shorter, change its format, or translate it into another language. Voice Commands also work on text you did not dictate yourself.

Can Lungoor learn names and technical terms?

Yes. Add names, company terms, technical words, or preferred spellings to your Dictionary, and Lungoor will use them in future dictations instead of guessing phonetically.

What permissions does Lungoor Voice need on Mac?

Lungoor Voice needs two permissions under System Settings, Privacy and Security: Microphone, to hear your voice, and Accessibility, to place generated text into other applications. Accessibility access does not let Lungoor read or capture your screen content.

Is Lungoor listening all the time?

No. Lungoor only listens when you activate dictation using your configured shortcut. It is not always-on and does not record in the background.

What Mac do I need to run Lungoor Voice?

You need an Apple silicon Mac — M1 or newer — running macOS 13 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. Lungoor Voice also requires an active internet connection to process speech.

Will Lungoor add words I did not say?

Lungoor may add a missing grammar word or punctuation to complete a sentence, but it is designed to preserve your original meaning and will not intentionally introduce a new idea.

Does Lungoor use my audio to train AI models?

No. Lungoor does not use your audio to train its AI models. Audio is processed to generate your text and is not stored.
